Ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP) is an innovative treatment approach that utilizes low doses of ketamine to enhance therapeutic experiences. Unlike traditional antidepressants, ketamine works quickly, often providing relief within hours. When combined with psychotherapy, it can help you explore and process emotions, uncover insights, and foster personal growth.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy may be particularly effective for individuals dealing with:
If you’ve found little relief from conventional treatments, KAP could be the solution you’ve been searching for.
Bethany works with clients in her office who have been prescribed oral ketamine in the form of troches. Bethany works with Tracy Richard, APRN/CRNA to whom she refers clients for a medical evaluation. Tracy works remotely and in her offices in Cheyenne and Torrington. She assesses clients’ suitability for ketamine prior to prescribing the medicine. Tracy has a relationship with a trusted compounding pharmacy with whom she prescribes. Clients are responsible for Tracy’s fee and the cost of the medicine which are both estimated below. The medicine is mailed to each client directly and stored safely by clients.
Bethany believes in cultivating strong, safe, and trusting therapeutic relationships with her clients and this principle also applies to Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). With that in mind, Bethany recommends an intake assessment to determine suitability for KAP, followed by 2-3 individual 55-minute “prep” sessions prior to scheduling a medicine session. Each medicine session is 3 hours in length and varies in dosing. It is also recommended to schedule 55-minute “integration” sessions between medicine sessions. Clients, Bethany, and Tracy will collaborate to determine appropriate dosage. It is recommended that clients plan for 4-6 medicine sessions as research suggests this yields longer-lasting results.
• Tracy Richard, for a medical evaluation: $250 to be paid directly to Wyoming Wellness Center.
• Medicine: between $30.00 - $50.00 to be paid directly to the compounding pharmacy.
